Gray Morrow - When HARLIE was One Illustration
Gray Morrow - "When HARLIE was One" Illustration Original Art (undated). Gray Morrow's large cybernetic scene sets the stage for David Gerrod's 1972 novel "When HARLIE Was One." HARLIE is an acronym for Human Analog Replication Lethetic Intelligence Engine -- in short, HARLIE is an Artificial Intelligence. HARLIE's story is built around his relationship with David Auberson, the psychologist who guides him from "childhood" into "adulthood." The novel is also about HARLIE's fight against being turned off, and the philosophical question whether or not HARLIE is human. This striking mixed-media painting on board painting has an overall size of 22' x 30", and the art is in Excellent condition.
