Gray Morrow - Original Cover Art for Worlds of Tomorrow, March, 1966 (Galaxy Publishing Corp., 1966). Gray Morrow's career as an artist spanned decades, with work that ranged from comic strips including Tarzan, Buck Rogers, and Flash Gordon to Atlas and Classic comics in the 1950s to Warren's Creepy and Eerie magazines in later decades, with creative turns for Marvel, DC, and others along the way. A long-time contributor of covers for science-fiction magazines, Morrow was in high demand by both magazine and paperback publishers. Offered here is a wonderfully evocative example of a master's work, showing a highly stylized spaceship blasting off from an alien planet for the March, 1966 issue of Worlds of Tomorrow magazine. With rich, striking colors, and Morrow's impeccable sense of design, this art measures approximately 15" x 20", with an image area of approximately 12" x 15.75", and has been signed by the artist in the lower left corner.
