San Francisco Giants jacket worn by Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick when he and bandmates Jerry Garcia and Bob Weir sang the National Anthem a cappella on opening day at Candlestick Park in San Francisco, California, on April 12, 1993. The black satin jacket, size XL, made by Starter as part of the Diamond Collection, features knit cuffs, collar, and waistband, with the Giants logo embroidered to the left chest. Included with the jacket is a framed and reprinted color photo of the trio singing at the stadium, with Welnick and Garcia wearing the jackets. In fine condition, with some soiling and expected wear from use. Provenance: Bonhams, More Skeletons from the Closet, Lot 104, October 2008.
