<td width="100%">
Grandpa Smoky Brown just recently died but he will always be remembered for his vibrant and colorful paintings. This one is of Adam and Eve with the serpent with legs. It is painted on particle board with some imperfections such as small holes, a chipped corner, etc because he used found pieces for his art. He was born in Ohio in 1919. During his life he worked as a plasterer, stone carver, muralist, sign painter, and cartoonist. He is considered a folk outsider artist but preferred to be called an urban street artist. His art is in the permanent collection of the National Museum of American Art Smithsonian Institution.
