(New York: Harper & Brothers, 1952), first edition, 140 pages plus eight pages of letter reproductions and 16 full-color reproductions of Grandma Moses paintings, peach paper boards shelf-backed in black cloth with gilt lettering on the spine and black lettering on the front board, 8vo (6.25" x 9.5"), no dust jacket, clear plastic protective sleeve on boards, housed in a black quarter leather slipcase with marbled boards and gilt titles & five raised bands on the spine. Signed "<I>Grandma Moses</B></I>" on the half-title page. A 1957 TLS signed by the book's editor, Otto Kallir, is laid-in. The letter is an invitation to a Grandma Moses art exhibition at the Galerie St. Etienne in New York, the gallery that first brought Grandma Moses to the world. The first edition of <I>My Life's History</B></I> presented here is in very good condition, with noticeable wear to the bottom edge and bumped corners.
