Granbury, TX - $10 1902 Plain Back Fr. 626 The First NB Ch. # 3727
This is a bright, well centered note with a pair of barely discernible pinholes just to the left of McKinley's portrait. This note's most distinctive feature is its neon-pink stamped signatures of W.F. Juliff and D.C. Cogdell, a portion of which has bled through to the back. The Hood County town of Granbury is a hard day's ride southwest of Fort Worth and was dominated by the First, which was chartered in June 1887. The Kelly census lists 17 Large, with this note being the second highest graded note outside of the notes locked away in the Philpott/Moody Foundation. Extremely Fine-About Uncirculated.
