Rare DS, two onionskin pages, 8.5 x 13, July 11, 1967. An addendum to a five-year agreement between Lee Hazlewood Industries and Gram Parsons, John Nuese, and Jon Corneal, in which the latter party agree “to record…commercially satisfactory ‘master’ records of at least six (6) record sides at 45 rpm.” Signed at the conclusion in blue or black ballpoint by Parsons, Nuese, and Corneal, and countersigned by Hazlewood. In fine condition. After an amicable separation in 1966, Parsons reformed the International Submarine Band a year later with new drummer Jon Corneal. Backed by Hazlewood’s label, the band recorded their first single—’Luxury Liner / Blue Eyes’—in July of that year before returning to the studio to record their only full-length album, Safe at Home. An intriguing piece of rock history from the elusive Parsons.
