Gothic pole arm circa 1450 to 1650 showing well forged head and makers mark which is indistinguishable measuring 12 ¾” from blade to end of mounting ring and not including shaft. The wood shaft is hand carved and very old measuresapproximately 82” in length and probably replaced in 20th century. The condition is very good with normal pitting and aging showing a good patina. These were the peasants soldier’s weapon of choice and were very effective in all forms of warfarebut particularly when taking knights off their horses. Est.: $700-$1400
