This wonderfully unique nineteenth century gothic revival table was appraised by Sotheby's in 1998 for $20,000. (We will be glad to provide a copy of the appraisal at time of sale.) It features a variegated white marble top above a frieze decorated with carved fretwork and containing a flush center drawer. The tapered square legs feature carved trefoil arches on all four sides, on top and bottom, and end in block feet. Measures 52.5" wide, 31" deep and 29" high. Could be used as a center table, hall table, writing table or desk. It resides in a climate-controlled storage facility in northern NJ, and may be seen by appointment.

Additional images to be uploaded shortly.

This table comes from the collection of Roni Steinberg Sokoloff and resided in her former 63-acre estate in Bedford New York known as Cantitoe Farms. (Formerly known as Sycamore Farms, the estate is down the road from Martha Stewart's home by the same name.) Ms. Sokoloff purchased the table in the 1980s.
