Fabulous sterling silver serving spoon made by Gorham in the 1880's. The spoon is featured on the cover of Silver in America 1840-1940 A Century of Splendor by Charles H. Venable. Their is also an additional picture on page 122. Length 10 1/2 inches. Length of bowl 4 1/2 inches, width 2 3/4 inches. On the end of the handle there is a Calla Lilly surrounded by leaves. On the bowl there are applied Ivy leaves along with engraved Ivy leaves in the bowl. Fully marked on back of bowl. No mono or removal. Faint gold wash in the bowl.
