Professional wrestler, real name George Raymond Wagner, (1915–1963), who gained mainstream popularity and became one of the biggest stars of the Golden Age of Wrestling. Original vintage broadside for a wrestling card at the Phoenix Madison Square Garden, 22 x 14, with the main event being a two out of three falls tag team match of Gorgeous George and Howard Cantowine against Lord Blears and Jesse James. Signed in blue ink above his image, “Gorgeous George,” and also signed by Lord Blears and one other. Partial separation along a vertical fold left of center, two missing corner tips, dampstaining to left side, a few small holes and dings, and some light contrast to end of George’s signature over his printed name, otherwise very good condition. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from James Spence.
