Featured in this lot is this beautiful framed ledger art done by Spokane artist Gordon Henry, a Chippewa Cree / Blackfeet artist circa 2010s. Gordon Henry was born in Box Elder, Montana and studied Visual and Media Arts at the University of Montana in Missoula. He now resides in Spokane, Washington. The ledger art has been done on a 1907 County Recorder's Fee and Reception Book page and shows a group of three Native Americans standing on grass wearing colorful trade blankets. They are looking into the distance at three teepees, designed with buffalo graphics. The sun shines down on them from the top left corner. The bottom right shows the artist's signature reading, "G. Henry" in black ink. The piece has been set in a black colored frame and has been matted once with black matting paper. The piece shows good condition overall with little to no wear present. The visible art measures 13 9/16" L x 16 1/8" W. The entire piece measures 16 7/8" L x 20 7/8" W x 11/16" D. It weighs 3 pounds and 10 ounces.
