Tremendous semi-glossy 11 x 14 silver gelatin photo of Gordon Cooper's massive ticker-tape parade in New York City on May 22, 1963, held in celebration of his successful Faith 7 flight, signed and inscribed in black felt tip, "To Anthony Cipriano, with best regards—Gordon Cooper.”
Reverse of the photo annotated in black felt tip: "Photo by Orlando Fernandez, W. T. & Sun—from 5th floors Bway & Cedar St., Hung out on ledge held by 2 men—Cooper said it was the 'greatest picture taken of the parade.'" Reverse also bears collector's ink notations: "Cooper signature obtained by Jim Sparks (personally) March 1980." In fine condition, with light rippling, and moderate signature contrast against the busy, festive background.
