Good quality pair of early 19th century flintlock pistols showing Turkish influence and brass and silver mountings with coral accents and raised beadwork along with 2 nello silver plaques and silver wire inlays in grip area of stock. The pistol’s measure 19 ¾” overall with 12 ½” barrels of approximately .60 caliber smoothbore. The locks are in their original flintlock condition and barrels show good makers stamps or hallmarks (possibly Turkish). The condition is very good plus with darkened silver and very good and sound wood stocks with crisp carving. An ornate and attractive pair of flintlock’s which are always desirable with coral inlay.
