Good quality Mexican officer’s sword, mid to late 19th century showing cast German silver hilt with three-brash guard and raised embossed Mexican snake and eagle with folding thumb-piece. The blade has been reduced toapprox. 25-1/2” during period of use. Sword now 30-1/2” overall. The grip shows partial shark-skin covering over its original wood grip.
