TLS, one page, 8.5 x 11, February 16, 1951. Letter, written from CBS in Hollywood, to an admirer in England. In full: “Thanks for your kind praise of my work in your recent letter. If I have brought you a moment’s enjoyment with my screen work, I am amply repaid by your recognition of my work. It is always gratifying to hear from our friends, for in this busy world it means much when people will take the time to send a word of appreciation and encouragement.” In fine condition, with a uniform shade of mild toning, and a couple trivial pinholes of paper loss to lower blank portion. McDaniel is quite uncommon in any form of correspondence.
