Goldfinger Jill (Shirley Easton) Gold Plated Naked Statue From Guy Hamilton
Most James Bond fans and historians will agree that perhaps the greatest of all Bond films is the 1964 "Goldfinger". It is filled with iconic characters, sequences, cars gadgets (not to mention a killer hat) and lines that have stayed with us all for all these years. Directed by the best of the Bond director's Guy Hamilton who also gave us "Diamonds Are Forever, "Live and Let Die" and "The Man with the Golden Gun", he knew just how to find the right balance between humor, heart and heroics. Of course the one major image from the film is the shot of the dead Jill Masterson (Shirley Eaton) lying on her bed, having suffocated by having her entire naked body painted over in Gold by Gert Frobe (Auric Goldfinger). For publicity (and a Life Magazine cover) she did many poses "alive" in her gold body makeup (because it was 1964 she actually had a tiny bikini under the paint). This gold painted plaster statue of a naked Shirley Easton was given to Hamilton and has been in his collection for years. A great and quite unusual Bond collectable. Statue is in good condition, with some slight flaking of the gold paint. 9"x4".
