Lot of 6 documents related to the Jumbo Extension Mining Company. 1) Shift Boss Daily Reports for the "Grandma Shaft" for the months of January-October, 1924. Report describes the workplace, explosives used, production, waste, and the amount of advancement made. 2) An alphabetical listing stating "Dividend No. 2 not sent to following." The list identifies the individuals by name, certificate no., and no. of shares owned. 3) Set of 15 order invoices from the mine dated 1916-1917. Orders to companies in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Tonopah, Reno, and Salt Lake City. Includes many parts for Model 16 Chandler Touring Car, stove and motor oil, and detonation/explosive materials. 4) A letter to stockholders dated January 21, 1918, which details the creation of the Jumbo Copper Mountain Company and its spin-off from the Jumbo Extension Mining Company. 5) Article dated Thursday, June 14 (no year noted, probably 1918) describes company's "developing Copper Mountain Property at Three Points." 6) Information Circular for Prospecting for Lode Gold, by Gradner, E.D. and Locating Claims on the Public Domain, by Johnson, Fred. Soft cover, published by the Dept. of Interior, US Bureau of Mines, Revised April, 1936. On Jan. 1, 1912, the company had $106,575 cash on hand, while only $9,350 remained two years later. In Dec., 1913, C.S. Sprague and associates of Goldfield took over, and in 5 months netted $53,342. By Aug. 1914, shares were down to 12.5 per share. In October, rich ore was found, sending the stock on a sensational rise. Stock prices rose to $4 in December, after which it immediately dropped.
