May 10, 1869 - Framed replica color painting by Thomas Hill of the famous Driving of the Golden Spike ceremony, with all the famous luminaries of the time depicted. There is a keyed legend in a sleeve on the reverse side, indicating all the assembled people. Framed and matted, the image measures 27"x19", the frame measures 33"x25". The original painting was 8`x12`, and owned by Paul O. Tietzen of Berkeley, CA. This replica comes from Wells Fargo Bank.
