Featured in this lot is this golden south sea pearl, 14k yellow gold necklace with DIA and AIGL paperwork. These opulent golden pearls are produced by the Golden-Lipped Pinctada Maxima Oyster. The warm, natural golden color is said to be rarer than gold itself, with this set showing a rich gold color with overtones of pink and iridescence, a very good luster, and excellent matching. Overall, the set shows 37 pearls with sizes ranging from 10mm to 14mm; the pearls are set on string with a 14k yellow gold plunger style tension lock scalloped bead clasp. The piece comes complete with AIGL Inc. (American International Gemological Laboratories, Inc. a GIA certified lab AIGL#: K21E31-EA14811) report and appraisal, confirming the above info and giving a total value of $6,200.00. The measurements of this necklace from clasp to clasp are 18 1/2".
