Golden Globe Award - Robert Surtees, Quo Vadis
Robert Surtees Golden Globe Award for Quo Vadis. Offered at Christie's in 2003 (the auction tag is still attached) this 1951 Golden Globe Award was presented to Robert Surtees for Best Achievement in Cinematography of a Color Production in 1951. The film was Quo Vadis, which went on to win an additional Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor (Peter Ustinov) and eight Oscar nominations. Surtees won a Golden Globe the previous year for his work on King Solomon's Mines; this particular award must have been in good company among the possessions of the lauded cinematographer. Though there is mild tarnishing to the globe and two minor chips to the back of the base, the 8.5" award is in Very Fine condition.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Larg (view shipping information)
