Golden Age of Radio. Archive of several hundr
Golden Age of Radio. Archive of several hundred items from the NBC radio show, "Let's Play Reporter," 1940s and 1950s. Also known as "Who, What, When and Where," hosted by Frances Scott. Show backed by Basch Radio & Television Productions and Gilbraltar Advertising Agency. Including two large albums of material: typed announcements, photos (many signed) of players from the show, skits, background and biographical material, stories used on the show, letters from fans, checks, clippings, and more. Content includes producing the show on TV, cancelling show on radio, planning campaign for the show. In addition, CBS show "Junior Varieties" archive, "cast with the most talented children in America," its M.C. Lady Iris Mountbatten, of English royalty. Photos, press clippings, letters, etc. Other radio and TV shows in the planning stages by this radio and advertising company. Basch Radio imprint on front cover of albums. Some wear and chipping of old backing paper, old glue residue from mounting visible on some items, else generally good. A wonderful profile of a lost era.
