Gold miner’s sweetheart locket circa mid 19th century. The interior of the locket shows a photograph on glass of a gentleman in fancy attire and a window containing small gold nuggets in the reverse. These lockets were often sent home by 49ers to their sweethearts to show them how their mining had been successful. Case is gold-filled, in good condition, and of small size measuring approx. 1-1/4” across the diameter. It may be possible to identify the gentleman from his photograph as it appears he made a rich strike. A nice gold-rush era collectible. Est: $1,000 - $3,000

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries.
