c1860 This lot includes four engraved prints of early life in California. Two mounted on poster board H.B. Hall Jr. prints measure 14”x 17” and depict life in the Gold Rush era and include one entitled Emigrants Crossing the Plains and Native Californians Lassoing a Bear. Henry Bryan Hall Jr. (fl. 1855-1900) fought in the the Civil War and enjoyed fame for his engraved portraits of its leading figures. Two small prints, measuring 9”x 13” show a panoramic view of San Francisco and Gold Digging in California. Both of these have been colorized and have no artist signature. Last but not least, this lot includes an 1860s era map of the western United States measuring 11”x 13” and appears to be a page taken from a bound atlas. These items are in very nice condition and would make a nice history montage. - HKA#65148
