Between 1870 and 1892 Austria produced two different coin types, each of which carried face values in two different monetary systems, this is because these coins were "trade coinage" intended for international use as bullion coins.20 Francs 8 FlorinsThese were issued between 1870 and 1891, but with official re-strikes dated 1892 being issued indefinitely. All the pre 1892 issues tend therefore to be of more interest to collectors, although there is nothing wrong with finding space for the 1892 re-strikes in any collection.
