For your consideration are three Gold Basin Chondrite meteorites found in Mohave County, Arizona in 1995. The Gold Basin meteorite has been classified by the University of Arizona as an L4 Stone Olivine Hypersthene Chondrite. According to studies, the meteorite hit a section of the Wisconsin Glaciation about 14.3 million years ago. The fall occurred during a cooler, wetter climate, and the majority of the remains exhibit oxidation that most likely took place soon after the object's arrival on Earth. The meteorites show colors of black, grey, dark brown and tan throughout the pieces. Each piece shows magnetic properties and includes a cube magnet stuck to each. The largest measures 1 9/16" L x 7/8" W x 3/4" H, while the smallest measures 1 3/8" L x 3/4" W x 3/4" H.
