<B>Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster (Toho, 1966).</B></I> Japanese STB (20" X 57.5"). This was the first film in the Godzilla series without the direction of Ishiro Honda. This installment finds the natives of a tropical island being held captive by the armies of a country that claim to be in control of a giant mutated crustacean named Ebirah. Some of the teen natives escape and find a way to release Godzilla from his lair with a well placed lightning rod. Re-vitalized and re-energized, Godzilla soon goes snout-to-claw with Ebirah, wiping out the deadly menace. This rolled Japanese STB has very light edge wear, and light horizontal bends from rolling.
