<B>Glenn Gould Typed Letter Secretarially Signed</B></I> "<I>Glenn/vs</B></I>". One page, 7.25" x 10", personal letterhead, October 21, 1959, Toronto, Canada (dictated elsewhere), to Gladys Shenner. Gould writes to his journalist friend in part: "<I>...The season has started and, as I said a few weeks ago, I am terribly depressed about it. In the morning I have to go to San Francisco, which is almost as bad as crossing the Atlantic...I had played the Brahms D minor and I was extremely happy about it...</B></I>." One insignificant stain in lower margin, else very fine condition. Gould signatures are rare and valuable. <B>A Wall Street Journal article published August 29, 2006 stated that "Gouldiana has become more expensive than memorabilia of any other 20th-century pianist, dealers say. A signed Gould photo in good condition can fetch up to $5,000, compared with about $700 for one featuring the pianist Arthur Rubinstein."</B></I>
