This auction sale catalog includes numismatic material primarily from Japan, Europe, the United States, and other foreign countries as collected by W.E. Leistner. The collection is made up of gold coins of the world, mostly modern, and a series of Japanese and United States coins. The collection includes some very rare and desirable pieces. Most of the Japanese coins were pedigreed to the collection of Dr. Cornelius C. Vermeule, co-author of a standard work on Japanese coins.
