Lot of 14 various views around Lake Tahoe. Most are of the east shore or Nevada side of the lake. Scenes include: Lake Tahoe as seen from Mt. Rose Highway; Cave Rock Tunnel entrance; Lake Tahoe from the Nevada shore; scenic highway around Tahoe; Upper & Lower Angora Lakes, Fallen Leaf Lake and Tahoe beyond, taken from Echo Summit; Nevada shoreline; Eagle Falls (near Tahoe City); Cave Rock, different views; Sunset on Gull Lake near Boulder Lodge (South Shore); and entrance to Emerald Bay (West Shore). Seven of the photos are by Frasher. Note: This same description was used elsewhere in this catalog. Do you want to repeat it here? In the early ‘20s Frasher moved his commercial photography studio from Lordsburg (LaVerne) California to Pomona. His postcard views of the Southwest soon became his major focus, encompassing scenes he took during his extensive travels throughout the West and Southwest. His business grew to such an extent that he actually hired other photographers/salesmen to sell more postcards and take additional photos. By 1948 more than 3 ½ million cards were sold throughout the United States. [Ref: www.oac.cdlib.org/findaid/ark:/13030/kt6s2019xp/].
