This is an original one of a kind work of ar solid bronze sculpture by John L. Clark (1881-1970. The piece is signed, "John L. Clarke 25/75 - J.L. Clarke Glacier Park Mont." John L. Clarke's Blackfeet name is Cutapius (as his grandfather was a Blackfoot Chief). His work was greatly desired being in the collections of President Warren G Harding and John D. Rockefeller. President Harding placed one of his carvings in the Oval Office. The Man Who Talks Not. The Glacier National Park Montana artist shows wonderful technique and quality. This is a bronze sculpture lamp with rawhide style shade. RARE. Measures 19.75" tall with a 11" diameter shade. Sculpture base is 3 5/8"x3 5/8". East Glacier John L. Clarke Museum. Comes with original Southwestern style finial and extra.
