Italian composer (1813–1901) was one of the most influential figures in the history of opera. ALS in Italian, signed “G. Verdi,” one page, 5.25 x 8, November 21, 1893. Letter to his administrator Dr. Angelo Carrara. In part (translated): “I am still owing you some money. Please accept this small bill to buy some sweets for your children for Christmas. Tomorrow morning, we will leave for Genova, but I will see you before Christmas.” In fine condition, with a few stray ink flecks and a couple minor creases. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope.
