<td width="100%">
Classical gilt-wood and gesso, ebonized convex wall mirror having spread winged eagle finial above flaring plinth. All above circular coved ball-mounted frame with black fillet, all above pendant drop. Upon close inspection, there appears to have been some minor restoration (although barely visible to the naked eye) to the carved scroll on top right, the plinth as well as the surface gilt work. The back side is covered in old surface paper which I was hesitant to remove for a complete inspection. There does exists remnants of older glue to the top bracket. The glass and rear facing aspects of the piece appear to be original. There is a decidely militant appearance to the eagle which is unlike many of the predominantly English renditions of Girandole mirrors. A wonderful wingspan and commanding presence for this circa 1815 mirror. Generally speaking, this mirror is in a good state of preservation. Accomodations to price have been made for noted restoration. Overall Height ? 38"
