This Sino-Tibetan gilded bronze figure represents Buddha Ratnasambhava and was made during the 20th century. Ratnasambhava is also referred to as the ‘grace giver’ and is assigned to the five Adibuddhas. He is seated in deep meditation in the lotus position with upturned turned feet on a lotus pedestal, which is decorated with strings of pearls. The left hand is placed in his lap and the open palm is facing upwards. The right hand is placed relaxed on the knee and forms with the thumb and middle finger the shunya Mudra. A richly pleated robe, called kasaya, covers the body of Buddha and leaves his right shoulder bare. The enlightened has a serene expression, deep neck wrinkles and long earlobes, which emphasize his grandeur. A flame-shaped ketumala crowned the arched usnisha and the little curls underneath. The figure is sealed by a copper base plate and on the back of the base a four character mark is visible.

The bronze figure is in good condition with natural patina and slight signs of age and wear. Some gold abrasion and minimal loss of material is visible here and there. The height is 30 cm, the width 18 cm and the depth 14 cm.
