This percussion converted rifle has fixed sights on a barrel marked "A. GIBBS / LANCASTER" (faint). The lock plate and hammer have a light floral scroll engraving (faint). The ramrod pipes, reverse plate, forend cap, patch box, trigger guard, and buttplate are brass, with the trigger guard, buttplate and patch box featuring a floral engraving. Full length stock with a checkered wrist, a German silver inlay on the cheekpiece, three stock wedges, and a crescent buttplate. With a wooden ramrod and a plain trigger.

Condition: Good. The rifle has a smooth dark patina with minor flash pitting and some scattered minor pitting on the barrel. The brass is fine. The stock has been repaired, otherwise very good with some minor dings and scratches, a large chip and a minor crack on the forearm (left side) and some wear in the checkering. Lock plate is loose, otherwise action is fine.
