Signed book: Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica, Gianni Schicchi. Paris: G. Ricordi & Co., 1919. Hardcover, 8.25 x 10.75, 234 pages. Signed and inscribed in Italian on the title page in bold black ink by Giacomo Puccini, who adds the date, "1919, Firenze." In very good condition, with some light staining and foxing to the signed page; the covers are stained and chipped, and the partially detached spine shows damage. Il Tabarro, Suor Angelica, and Gianni Schicchi comprise the three one-act operas of Puccini's Il trittico, with each concerning the concealment of death: a horrific episode (Il tabarro) in the style of the Parisian Grand Guignol; a sentimental tragedy (Suor Angelica); and a comedy (Gianni Schicchi).
