The Ghoul (Gaumont, 1933). Lobby Card (11" X 14"). For years "The Ghoul" was considered to be a lost film until a print turned up in the Czech National Archive in Prague. Boris Karloff stars as an Egyptologist who seeks immortality by being buried with an ancient jewel from a tomb. After his death, he returns from the grave to seek those who nabbed the jewels. The film drew inspiration from "The Mummy" which had been released by Universal the year before. The lobby cards being offered here came from a collection found in Canada. All the cards were from the 1932 to 1934 period and there were several other sets from British films. All of those cards were printed in black-and-white and state in the lower right corner, "Printed in Canada." We have no doubt whatsoever that these cards are from the film's original release. Mint.
