Autograph postcard signed by Alice B. Toklas, known for her relationship with author Gertrude Stein. Dated 26 June 1955 and postmarked from Paris, Toklas writes to a Mr. and Mrs. Perpes, ''...What kind people you are to remember me. It and your faithful return to the 6 page de votre predilection touches me...He [Carl Van Vechten] has been in the week since then probably recovering for there hasn’t been a line from him, Have a happy summer, And thank you a lot for the pretty postal...Alice Toklas''. Stein's relationship with Toklas became clear when Stein authored her own memoir with the playful title, ''The Autobiography of Alice B. Toklas''. Lightly toned postcard with a Raoul Dufy painting print measures 5.75'' x 4''. Very good condition.
