WORLDWIDE Germany 1901, "Vineta Provisional" Bisect postally used. This bisect, produced in New Orleans when the German cruiser "Vineta" was docked there, was issued in a quantity of only 300 - so the crew could purchase newspapers reporting the Kaiser's Birthday and mail them home. Extremely rare and missing from most collections. Included are certificates from Dr. Walter Koenigsfeld (1952), Pfenninger (1972) and Jakubek (1997). ALSO a 1997 letter to the consigner from Richard Pyzner stating that this stamp is ex Kohler, Grobe, Pfenningerand a copy of a cashier's check to Pyznar for $11,491 are also included.
