Germanic Flintlock pistol converted to percussion, originally circa about 1780, converted about 1820’s to 40’s. Shows Running Horse barrel maker’s proof at breech. Approx. 17” overall, with 11” barrel. Approx. .60 caliber smoothbore, full stocked to muzzle. The metal surfaces remain in good condition with strong traces of brown and case hardening on lock, some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting. The stock is nicely carved around the mounts and the stock is in good condition with a few chips of wood missing around the stirrups around the brass buttcap. Original to the period ramrod is retained, missing its tip. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
