Brenneke, Leipzig”, in 7.64 caliber, with matching German claw-mounted scope by which is inscribed with serial number and caliberof rifle, scope marked “Ajack”. The rifle shows a 28” round barrel, is 48” overall, half-stocked in straight grain walnut, nicely checkered at the grip, double-triggers, case hardened action, mounts for narrow Europeantype sling, quick release floor-plate action, lightly scroll engraved, triggerguard chiseled with initials MWR. The rifle shows a horn forend cap, and English type leather-covered pad. The stock measures13-1/2” to the end of the wood, 14-5/8” to the end of the pad. The gun is numbered “41790”, scope matching.
