German WWII era Luger S/42 coded for Mauser manufacture, breech dated 1937. Blued finish, checkered wood grips, showing pre Nazi-era proofs, serial #9239. The pistol shows all matching visible serial numbers exceptaluminum bottom magazine which is correct type, #9453 with German military proofs. The pistol shows 95% plus original blue drifting at the edges with a few scratches, some minor erosion and pinprick pitting just starting.The trigger, small parts show considerable straw finish just drifting to natural color. The action is good, the bore is bright, the grips are very good plus with just some slight normal aging. A far above averageearly WWII era Luger. Est: $1,250 - $2,500
