German WWII era G43 8mm semi-automatic rifle with sniper scope, 8x57mm caliber, in very good plus to near fine condition, serial #1517G, manufacturer’s code DUV-44. Scope is marked “GW ZF4” with “DOW” and triangle,serial #34269. The mount is #5118 and shows a waffen 214 proof. The rear of the action cover shows “1517” that is scratch engraved. The gun remains in very good to near fine condition with most of its original condition on metal parts, at least 90-95%. The stock is also fine to near excellent with beautiful waffen proof just behind triggerguard just inside pistol grip, and stock is stamped “1784” with letter “G” on belly. An originalleather sling is included, in good condition. Action good. Bore near excellent with correct inspector marked and “GCB” manufacturer coded magazine. These rifle’s were nicknamed “Hitler’s Garand” and this isa near fine specimen with correct scope and mount. Also spring bands and rubber eyepiece for scope are retained. Est: $2,500 - $5,000
