This is a 1990s postcard featuring artwork by Georges Braque titled Frau Mit Mandoline . Printed in Germany. SIZE: Approx. 4" x 6". Georges Braque (13 May 1882 - 31 August 1963) was a major 20th-century French painter, collagist, draughtsman, printmaker, and sculptor. His most important contributions to the history of art were in his alliance with Fauvism from 1906, and the role he played in the development of Cubism. Braque's work between 1908 and 1912 is closely associated with that of his colleague Pablo Picasso. Their respective Cubist works were indistinguishable for many years, yet the quiet nature of Braque was partially eclipsed by the fame and notoriety of Picasso. **MORE postcards from 1950s to 1990s (risque, nude, art sci-fi, oddities) in this and future auctions. A 20% restocking fee also applies to merchandise rejected by the buyer due to reasons other than misrepresentation by All Things Estate Auctions. All sales are final. No lots are sold on approval. Placing a bid is a legally binding obligation. There are no returns or exchanges.
