German Model 98 military issue service rifle, 8mm cal., BNZ marked receiver dated 1943 with bayonet, scabbard and leather sling, #7743. Metal surfaces show 70%-80% thinning original military blue finish, full nazi inspections, matching serialnumbers on visible metal parts; the stock is good to very good with many small dings and mars but no visible inspections; maybe arsenal or field replaced. Bayonet is in very good condition with scabbard and is ASW maker marked. An aboveaverage 98 with an excellent bore. No import marks. Note: BNZ 43 manufactured by Waffenwerk, Steyr. Est.: $500-$1,000.
