German Model 38 paratrooper helmet for Luftwaffe showing thick green camouflage paint mixed with sand to give it a rough textured finish. The liner retaining bolts are the Spanner type used in the early warprior to the introduction of the slotted bolts. The inside liner shows two manufacture stamps; one for Karl Heisler the liner producer and the other is a factory lot number and the liner is re-stitched down themiddle with black thread. There is also a manufacture stamp for A. G. of Thale on the inner left sides of the shell. One of the most desirable of all World War II era helmets with unique in theater painted camo.Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
