German Mauser Military (S/42) Code 1937 Luger Semi Automatic Pistol with Matching Magazine
This is an excellent example of a pre-WWII German Luger as manufactured by the Mauser factory in 1937. The top of the chamber area is marked 1937 with S/42 markings on the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension is marked with two early "eagle/63" Waffenamt proofs and a drooped wing proof. The right rear of the barrel has the droop wing eagle proof and the "eagle / 63" on the opposite. All serial numbers match with the last two numbers of the serial number on most of the small parts and it is marked with "Geladen" and "Gesichert" on the extractor and safety area respectively. Blue finish with straw colored small components, blue magazine with pot metal base numbered to the gun, stock lug and fitted with checkered walnut grips.
