German Imperial officer’s sword with plain iron hilt and fancy etched and blued blade circa late 19th to early 20th-century. The blade shows an etched panel with unit marking and a fancy panel showing a palace or government buildings on thereverse. The blade is in very good plus to near fine original condition with at least 90% original blue and nickel just aging and toning slightly with no polishing or cleaning. The scabbard shows most of its black paint with a few dents andscratches. The hilt shows a dark brown patina. The grip is good retaining its wrap with just some slight normal aging. Est.: $400-$800
