German Imperial Army 1914 Dated DWM Model 1914 Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol with Holster

This is an early production 1914 dated Imperial German Luger. This example was manufactured in the first production series as it does not have any letter suffix on the serial number. It has the early "Bohler" steel marked barrel. These are usually only seen on the early WWI Lugers. The top of the chamber is dated 1914 and the front toggle is marked "DWM". The right side of the barrel extension has the three crown over Gothic letter proofs next to the Imperial eagle proof, which is also stamped on the rear of the barrel and left side of the breechblock. Correctly numbered in the military fashion full serial number (4692) on the frame, barrel extension and underside of the barrel. The last two digits of the serial number (92) on the smaller parts. As noted the barrel is marked "Bo 26" on the underside. Standard safety area and extractor markings; "GESICHERT and GELADEN" with standard fixed sights. It is fitted with a WWI type nickel plated magazine with the wooden base that is stamped with a Crown/Script letter proof. Complete with a dark brown leather holster, marked on the inside "J.M. ECKART/ULM/1913".

Very fine with 90% plus of the slightly faded original blue finish overall with 50% of the straw colors on the small parts. The walnut grips are very fine with nice original checkering on both sides, light wear and some minor handling marks. The holster is very good with a nice dark brown matching color, tight stitching and clear sharp markings on the inside. Only minor scratches and scuffs on the top corners of the flap. The rear has "B-1722" crudely scratched into the body.
