Letter dated 23 July 1975 on White House stationery reads in part, ''...Thank you most sincerely for presenting me with a copy of your book...I thoroughly enjoyed our visit on Monday along with Billie Jean King. You both have encouraged me to continue my tennis...'' Letter is signed ''Gerry Ford'' in black ink and contains a handwritten postscript, ''P.S. you are a fine example for our youth and we are proud of you. J.'' Letter measures 6.75'' x 9''. Affixed to a board which measures 9'' x 11.25''. Overall very good condition. With an LOA from Ashe's widow.
